The Hymen Maneuver

Victoria... Is there anything else worth mentioning from this episode? YIKES

Ok, so she had a bit too much to drink... But you should be aware that you are ON ABC... I get that nerves sometimes get the best of us but OMG control the amount of alcohol you drink on tv.

I have a lot of respect for Juan Pablo and how to handled the situation. And she is obviously not ready to be with a man that has a daughter.

Moving on... I really think that he and Clare could be so great together!!! I am very impressed with many of the ladies...

Kat's date was honestly forgettable.

Lucy? I love that she is so free.. and so comfortable with her body. Whether she is the right match to JP, who knows. But kudos to her either way!

Another shout out to Andi.. I admire that she was able to put her fears aside and do the nude photoshoot.

Until next week...

I don't speak spanish...

Here we go Juan Pablo!

I admit, I wasn't convinced that Juan Pablo was the best choice to be the next bachelor. However, after tonight's premiere, I couldn't be more thrilled. First impressions are everything- so here are my first thoughts on the ladies:

Amy J: The masseuse. The massage she gave to Juan Pablo was embarrassingly awkward. Not sure if massage oil translates well through a suit? hmmm

Clare: I had an amazing first impression of this girl, but showing up with a fake pregnant belly? Yikes!!!

Kylie: She seemed alright but man did I want to cover my eyes when she though Juan Pablo called her name at the rose ceremony.. when he in fact said Kat.

Sharleen: Although she received the first impression rose.. I am not a fan. She couldn't seem less interested in Juan Pablo.. and it was gut wrenching to see how much he seemed to like her.

Not too much to say on the other ladies yet... but here is my final four prediction:

              Chelsie                              Clare
Chelsie Clare
             Nikki                                   Renee
Nikki Renee

Let's take this to the Fantasy Suite...

Desiree's season has just begun with a BANG. We start off with a snapshot of Des' Bachelorette life (Sweet house, car, etc), and get a bit of a reminder of why we love her. She's very gracious and humble among other things.

Let's get right to these men stepping out of the limos.

I know the first night that everyone tries a smidgeon too hard to impress the bachelor/ette.. but there is quite a leap between adorably showing off and coming off like a creep.

Though I don't think Jonathan was ever trying to be cute.. his whole fantasy suite spectacle was just.. disgusting. At first I thought it was a joke gone wrong, but then.. yikes. What a loser!

On a bit of a side note: is it just me or does Robert have this crazy Erik Von Detten thing going on (in a good way)?

Next is Larry, who undoubtedly is a great guy.. but among nervousness came off a little desperate. I was truly pulling for him because I think a second chance would have served him well.

À la Jimmy Kimmel, I am going to give my first impression picks for Desiree's final four:

             Brooks                                        Drew
Brooks Drew
              Robert                                     Nick M.
Robert  Nick M.

Tune in for another sensational season of The Bachelorette!

Sparkle

Alas, Sean's season is coming to a close. As I haven't blogged much this time around, it's time to go through all the best and biggest moments, fights, women, etc!

A few thoughts on the ladies:

Ashlee: I truly thought she would be the one standing in the end. As the rose ceremony grew nearer on that fateful night in Thailand, it became quite clear that Sean was going to say goodbye. Watching the video that Ashlee made for Sean was borderline excruciating. ("You make me whole", "You're my soulmate", etc). It just seemed like she has trouble letting go of her serious side and having fun. She was clearly pissed when she didn't get the rose, but I can't say I blame her for hasty exit.

Ashley P: What NOT to do at the first cockail party:
1) Make Fifty Shades of Grey references (with props)
2) Get shitfaced
3) Talk incessantly about how much your mom loves Sean. To Sean.

Desiree: Officially the next Bachelorette! She was definitely one of the most likeable of the ladies this season. We'll be seeing her again- May 20th!

Kacie: I would actually like to see her as the Bachelorette at some point. As stoked as I was to see her come back, I just didn't see it with her and Sean. It's too bad she got caught between the others' drama, and if she should have learned anything from Ben's season, it would be to refrain from repeating drama to the Bachelor (unless asked!).

Lesley: I just plain and simple love this lady! She's gorgeous, hilarious, and sweet. I really have nothing bad to say about her, except that I wish she could have voiced her feelings for Sean.

Paige: Not sure what this girl's deal is, joining the Bachelor right after being on Bachelor Pad. I think she is simply a huge fan of the show who wants to be on/fall in love on television and I just felt totally rattled watching her walk back into the house.

Sarah: I couldn't get through this without at least mentioning Sarah and how wonderful she is. I have a feeling that after being on the show, Mr Right will not be long finding his way to Sarah.

Selma: I really have zero comment about the whole kissing on tv thing, or lack thereof. Ultimately, I think Selma has a good head on her shoulders; she's well-spoken, smart, and beautiful. She knows who she is and what she wants.

Alright. Here we are.

Tierra: Breakdown of events as I remember them:

1) Tierra get first rose upon stepping out of limo at the first cocktail party
2) Sean comes to pick up Ashlee for one-on-one. Tierra throws herself *ahem* falls down the stairs of the mansion and thereafter refuses to go to the hospital when paramedics arrives. She receives attention from Sean (with a big ugly smile on her face).
3) During a group date, a sobbing Tierra pulls Sean aside to tell him she can't go on anymore (referring to living in the house with all the women, barely getting time with him). She then gets the group date rose.
4) Tierra surprises Sean by going to see him during a group date (that she was not a part of). Later that evening she proceeds to cheat Jackie out of the rose on the two-on-one date.
5) After the polar bear plunge in Lake Louise, Tierra goes into some shaking/hypothermia induced fit. After again getting special attention from Sean as she recovers in bed- she is conveniently well enough to join the group date that evening.
6) After she and Ashlee have a blowup, Sean enters to *SHOCK* Tierra's head in hands, blubbering like a lunatic. A lightbulb FINALLY goes off in Sean's head, and he sends her packing on the spot.

End Scene.

Now, there may very well be a fantastic, sparkling woman in there somewhere, but come on... If you are that starved for attention, the last place you should be is inside the Bachelor mansion. I can't even use any more brain power on this subject.

I'd better wrap this up before I get riled up. For the last note, I will say that Sean is without a doubt one of the greatest Bachelors to date. I think his best move was asking Ashlee about Tierra. It's exactly was I'd wished Ben would have done with Courtney (things would have turned out differently I believe).

Will it be Lindsay or Catherine?

Just Tierra-ble

Still wrapping my head around the ladies of this season.. More to come after tonight's episode. Yikes.

Thursday 7 June 2012

God designed you to be a beautiful woman... just don't get fat.

http://www.glamour.com/entertainment/blogs/obsessed/2012/05/03/0503_ryan-bachelorette_ob.jpg
Well... 4 episodes in and this season is a doozer already! Lets talk firstly about the not-so-invisible elephant/douchebag in the room: Ryan. As I basically quoted above, Ryan seems to spit out some very strange and ugly thoughts. NOT ONLY is he plotting to be the next bachelor, but he actually tells one of the other guys about it!? And put your hair on straight you jackass.

Next- Doug. I'm a little on the fence about Doug, but if I go with my gut- I like the guy. Yes, as Emily says, sometimes he seems too good to be true, but I think he's just truly a good guy. Can't wait to see more from him.

And then there's Arie. He wins me over by the way he kisses Emily on the forehead. Even as Dolly Parton sang for them.. he looked at Emily the whole time. <3

Jef is also another favorite. Nothing bad to say about this guy. Cute, sweet, funny. A little shy but I can already see him coming around.

And now the other douche in the room. Chris. I never really got why Emily was so drawn to him. Even saying that she wouldn't approach him in a bar. When Emily had her first date with him, I really didn't mind the guy. But then, when Doug said that 25 year olds aren't as mature as 30 year olds.. Chris took that as a personal attack and started acting udderly.. immature. What?

And as for Kalon, I don't even think I can comment. On anything but your butt-chin, which wouldn't be so butt-chinny if you weren't such a first class jackass.

Ending on a positive and devastatingly sexy note, Sean. Enough said.

I Don't Even Know...

Well... I officially had to disengage a bit from this blog since I-as most of you likely have- saw the news among tabloid magazines. That news being which woman Ben gave the final rose..

Now, I'll be the first to admit that Courtney was made to be the villain from the beginning, and that being in a house with a bunch of women who are dating your 'boyfriend' can bring out the worst in you. But during the women tell all, I actually felt bad for her. I certainly began to feel that she actually loved Ben, and yes she is perhaps overly blunt and direct- but Ben said that was one of the things he loved about her. After seeing her hometown date, and her family/human side, I realized she probably wasn't as bad as she was made out to be.

Still, it was disappointing.. atop that beautiful mountain in Switzerland, seeing Ben propose an engagement that was probably going to end badly.

Then came 'After the Final Rose', where we learned *shocker* that B+C=<3 turned into B-C=Reality. The couple however stated that they reunited after the break-up and are currently engaged again.

After last season, I just don't see what I saw in Ashley and JP. (They are GREAT together). But best of luck Ben and Courtney!

Emily Maynard will be our next bachelorette, but if I had to choose a lady from this season for the next time around- I think my vote would go to..... Nicki or Jennifer!

Until May, and Emily's Debut. Cheers
